Top 5 Morocco Destinations to Check out This Summer
A trip to Morocco is a voyage into an ageless, serene world of beautiful coastal villages, colorfully painted towns that hang to hillsides and isolated outposts protected by fairy tale adobe citadels. This charming nation is an amalgamation of the African & Arab worlds, and is immersed in age-old traditions. It is no surprise Morocco has been distinguished by writers and artists for centuries and persists to mesmerize all who visit. If you’re all set ready to spend your upcoming vacation in Morocco, here are my top five favorite destinations to check out this summer
Fez:
The historic city of Fez has one awe-inspiring and overwhelming attraction, the behemoth medina. Measuring an unbelievable 2.4 square miles, it is not just one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, but also the most well-maintained old towns in the Arab-Muslim world. The Fez medina is one of globe’s most complicated mazes with treats & treasured down every little side lane. Tourists do get misplaced here, but fortunately there’s always a local guide to help travelers.
The Sahara:
The Erg Chebbi sand dunes on the western border of the gigantic Sahara desert are exceptional. Wave upon wave of orange sandbanks which reach about 250 meters in tallness, roll out into the distance making unlimited patterns of light & shade and the most fabulous panoramic scenes. The ideal way to explore the desert land is to opt for a classic camel trek over the rolling sand dunes and spend one night at an isolated Berber camp beneath the most unbelievable covering of stars.
Ait Ben Haddou:
This golden fortress propel spectacularly out of the ground amid landscape that mesmerizes all who visit. It is a fairytale destination, and the orange colored towers have turned out to be a preferred film location because of the fantastic beauty. If you are heading to Morocco’s inland provinces, it must be on the top of your Morocco travel list.
Dades Valley:
Trekkers, hikers and typical nature aficionados should not miss a trip into the unprocessed sceneries of Morocco's Dades Valley. With the snow covered summits of the High Atlas in the distance, the big-sky kingdom here is the ideal remedy for those who’ve been getting exhausted in the midst of the souks of Marrakesh & Fes
Essaouira:
Placed on Morocco’s Atlantic shoreline, Essaouira is one of the country’s most admired beach holiday destinations. White-washed homes holding cobalt shutters offers a picturesque background for breezy seashore adventures, which include windsurfing and kite surfing.
